Strawberry Grower is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Santa Maria, CA
Payroll Specialist is needed for a local strawberry grower.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Review and analyze data from ADS scanners for accuracy
- Review and process weekly timesheets
- File/maintain payroll documents
- Oversee maintenance of employee file, personal information, medical documentation, payroll/tax records, I-9, etc.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Weekly payroll tax deposits
- Monthly workers compensation reporting
- Quarterly & Annual Reports
- Assist with annual W-2’s
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.
Experience with ADS & Famous software, along with three years of payroll experience preferred. Strong Excel, data entry and organizational skills needed.
Pay will depend on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
